Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, has called upon Caerphilly councillors to take action at a popular walking area within the constituency.
Mr David has issued a plea to local councillors to replace the life buoy at the side of the lake on the Castle View estate in Caerphilly. The life buoy has been missing for several months and its absence is a worry for many local parents. It was originally placed by the lake by a private contractor.
Mr David said, “The Castle View Lake is a very popular area that is constantly used by walkers, runners and children. I believe that the replacement of the buoy should be an absolute priority for either the Town or the Borough Council. I have voiced the concerns of my constituents to the two Councils and I very much hope they will act”.
