A winner has been chosen.
Wayne David, MP for Caerphilly, is delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Christmas card competition. The winning entry has been selected from the many entries submitted by young children from schools across the Caerphilly constituency. The winner and runners up are:
Overall winner with a prize of £100 and a trip to Westminster, from Years 3-6
Ffion Davies of Park Primary School in Bargoed
Prize of £50, and the winner in Years 1 and 2
Owain James of Rhydri Primary School in Rudry
Prize of £50, and the winner in Reception/Nursery Class
Griffin Roberts of Llanfabon Infant School in Nelson
Wayne David said, "I am truly impressed by the standard of the entries from across a wide range of nursery and primary schools in my constituency. The children of the Caerphilly area are certainly full of the Christmas spirit. The final decision was very hard but it was a pleasure to look through all the entries.
"Ffion’s drawing has been produced as my official Christmas card and will be sent to my friends and colleagues across the country and abroad"
Mr David added,"I have been very impressed by the standard of the children’s work in my constituency and I have to pay tribute to the efforts made by everyone involved. My sincere thanks goes to all concerned for encouraging the children to take part.
