Welcome to the June monthly bulletin, keeping you up to date with all the latest news for Caerphilly CLP.
Our next GC meeting will be held on Friday 14 June in the council chambers of the Caerphilly County Borough Council offices at Ty Penallta, Ystrad Mynach, starting at 6:30pm.
The first item of business will be to introduce 2 of the Labour candidates for the European Parliament Elections in June 2014. Ballot papers will be sent out in early June to all Party members in Wales to place them on the ballot paper as these elections will be held using proportional representation. Instructions on how to vote will be sent with the ballot paper, but will also be explained at the GC Meeting.
Two of the Labour candidates, Christina Rees, who is a councillor from Bridgend, and Jayne Bryant, a Co-operative Party member who lives in Newport, have accepted our invitation. Both will speak for approximately 5 minutes and then 15 minutes has been allocated to each for a question and answer session. Both are then travelling to our neighbouring Islwyn constituency in Pontllanfraith, to repeat the exercise.
The Fundraising Committee combined with the Women’s Forum have arranged the following:
