Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly Working hard for the people of the Caerphilly constituency
Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, and Caerphilly’s Labour AM Hefin David have called on Stagecoach to withdraw their plans to scrap the number 25 bus service, which operates between Caerphilly and Cardiff.
The AM and MP have a meeting with the Chief Executive of Stagecoach on 6 September when the changes will be talked about in detail. Hefin David and Wayne David are therefore calling on Stagecoach to hold back from making any changes until this meeting has taken place. As things stand, Stagecoach are intending to introduce their changes from 1 September.
Wayne David said “It would be pointless having this meeting if we only talked about changes which had already been introduced. The sensible thing would be for Stagecoach to withdraw their planned changes. We could then have a sensible discussion about what would be the best way forward. I very much hope that Stagecoach will respond positively to our suggestion”.
