Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly Working hard for the people of the Caerphilly constituency
Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, has welcomed this week’s announcement that there is to be a general election on Thursday 12 December.
Speaking after he had voted for a general Election, Mr David said, “I relish that there is to be a general election because it gives the country a chance to get rid of this terrible Tory Government. For over 9 years, the Caerphilly constituency has suffered from public spending cuts. This election provides people with an opportunity to say ‘enough is enough’ and to replace this rotten Tory Government with a government that is on the side of the people.
“During the next few weeks I will be in every community in the Caerphilly constituency putting across Labour’s positive message. This election provides a huge opportunity to argue for Labour’s progressive policies for jobs, on the National Health Service, on education and for much else besides.
“I will be campaigning with my friend and colleague Hefin David AM and with the enthusiastic members of Caerphilly Constituency Labour Party.”
