Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, has given his support to a new campaign to showcase the Welsh tourist industry.
‘Visit Caerphilly’ met with Mr David as the campaign went to Westminster.
‘Visit Caerphilly’ had a ‘pop-up’ Tourist Information Centre in the House of Commons for the day, along with other representatives of the Wales Tourism Alliance and the Tourism Information Networking Group in Wales.
Their visit to Westminster is part of a week-long celebration for Wales Tourism Week, which takes place between 14 and 22 March. During this week the Wales Tourism Alliance and its partners will be undertaking a number of events across the country to highlight Welsh tourism and to emphasise the economic contribution the industry makes to local communities,
Wayne David said, “Tourism is an extremely important part of the Welsh economy and its development is especially important for Caerphilly. I was therefore delighted that Caerphilly Visitors’ Centre was so prominent in the exhibition in the House of Commons”.
