Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, has welcomed the relocation of the Post Office in Abertridwr from Thomas Street to The Square, Abertridwr. The Post Office is to be in what was formerly The Panteg Hotel.
The new Post Office branch will be a modern, new main style post office and will be built to high specifications. There will be a screened counter and an open plan counter position, incorporating low-level facilities. Customers will be able to transact all the products that are currently available in the Thomas Street branch. However, there will be the addition of an on-demand travel money facility, and the branch will be open for a longer time on Saturdays.
Wayne David said, “I am delighted that the Post Office has said that it will be proceeding with this relocation. It has been a long time in the planning, but I am pleased that, after public consultation, a positive decision has been taken. This is good news for Abertridwr.”
