Colour Tone Masterbatch Ltd has just been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the innovation category. The company is based Pant Glas Industrial Estate, Bedwas, Caerphilly.

The company has developed a colouring technology which has, to date, diverted over 10,000 tonnes of plastic from landfill. The company achieved this through the development and commercialisation of patented Near Infra-Red detectable colourants.

Wayne David said, “Everyone agrees that the management of plastic at end of life is a huge challenge for the world and I am delighted that a company in my constituency is developing a sustainable solution for this problem.”
