Wayne David, Labour MP for Caerphilly, has encouraged schools and local organisations across his constituency to take part in UK Parliament Week (UKPW), taking place between the 14^th and 20^th November 2022.

UK Parliament Week is an annual event which helps to spread the word about the UK Parliament, the work of MPs, and the political process. Last year, Caerphilly saw sign-ups from Scout and Girl Guide troops, as well as teachers from both primary and secondary schools. Over 1.1 million people took part in around 10,000 activities UK-wide.

Whether it’s learning about how to vote, how elections work, what your MP does or how you can start a campaign to bring about change, politics is a key part of everyday life. UK Parliament Week aims to educate people on these topics, providing resources for learning, educational games, and further information on all aspects of Parliament and Westminster.

This includes an activity booklet, a ballot box and other goodies, and the contents can be tailored to the age group you are working with.
